Ticket to Ride
Heard this on the radio the other day. I prefer the Carpenters cover (bite me) but whichever; a groovy song, baby. Yeah. This and Eleanor Rigby...where were you when this..., etc? Or more likely, were you when this...?
I think I'm gonna be sad,
I think it's today, yeah.
The girl that's driving me mad
Is going away.
She's got a ticket to ride,
She's got a ticket to ride,
She's got a ticket to ride,
But she don't care.

Paul McCartney reminds me of hubby. Not in looks mind you, just the music. The summer we started dating we went to see him in concert. It was really great and the start of our love affair.
That was 15 years ago. We just celebrated our 11th wedding anniversary on the 18th.
How are you Blue?
isn't paul mccartney that guy in that band wings?
Grrrrrrrr.
*spits*
THE CARPENTER'S VERSION ???
YES! SO WHAT? Wanna make somethin' of it? Huh?
Oh my Blue...not good I take it!! I hope things are looking better for the weekend!
I like the Carpenters, really I do.
Well I'd make something of it but I'm busy scraping my eyes after reading that. Then I'm going to listen to two hours of Keith Richards beating on a drum before he kicked heroin. The if I'm not gelatinous I'll make something of it.
Hey! Here's a thought, rather listen to some music...
'Brown Sugar' was the best the Stones ever did, but the Stones, Beatles, let alone Elvis was a tad before my time.
Anyway; I think I should be forgiven if I recently brought '3 Doors Down'
If not, well bite me. The nothing like an eclectic taste, right?
Right. And NOTHING is before my time. I am eternal.
Wonderful. Then you'll no doubt be an afficionado of 14th century Serbo-Croatian nose-flute concertos?
I particularly enjoyed Vojsava Gjeraj's cover of 'Cockroach Night'. (The Plague edit)Yes, I know she's Albanian, but I think we could stretch a point, and perhaps the pastoral motif was overdone, but it's still deeply moving. Shades of a latter day Goran Polikov?
