My Pres. Thabo Mbeki, meets Gorge (sorry) George W Bush? For a whole 45 minutes! How the mighty are fallen. I was tempted to say 'Mohammed comes to the Mountain', but felt that would be grossly inapproporiate, given the circumstances.

ugh.
I wouldn't yet know; the local media were just agog that Mbeki met *pant, pant* the Great Leader.
All I got was that GW (sort of)said the US won't buy-in to Tony Blair's reconstruction plan for Africa. I think that's code for 'sod-off, show me the crude, baby, show me the Texas Tea.' and so forth.
